Conceptual Reasoning

There is a fascinating methodology within Immanuel Kant's 'Critique of Pure Reason', where he explores the idea of using the imagination to move concepts around and find greater understanding just in the use of concepts. Within this idea, there seems to me several methods to using concepts, there is the categorical method, which Aristotle mentions in his 'Prior Analytics', where objects are placed in universal categories. My notion of this is my levels of existence: The Void, Elements, Plants, Animals, Humans, Spirits, and God. Starting with pure physics and ending with pure mind, it is a substance duality, previously I stated they were separate, but one cannot exist without the other.

The way I think of these levels is to imagine a rainbow its not a full range of all colours but rather blocks of certain colours with only a small transition. Now I am sure we may be able to find every small step between element and human, that humans have come from the elements in a countless number of small steps. But categorically we can fit everything currently into these concepts, maybe the next step is to merge the spiritual with the human and create some mutants with different powers, I believe that step to be logical.

But back to conceptual reasoning, as well as categories there is the dialectic. The dialectic is a method of contrasting categories, similar object are contained in similar categories, but many concepts represent opposites, and are very useful to the intuition but not to finding similarities. There are two that boggle my mind, infinite and finite, then, Determinism and Chaos. What I like about my levels is that these can be represented and categorized. The Void and God are both infinite and their finite nature stretches up and down the levels. Also they are both deterministic but again for different reasons, God determines perfection and the void unified separation. The final reasoning, I call dynamical, in one sense everything is moving towards perfection and away from destruction, but an existence of only humans, or perhaps only spirits, can't survive, in simple terms all levels are required and that in a way creates dynamical Powers, or Forces.
